The Bush Mac

Ingredients:

  • 2 3” Beef Patties

  • 2 Brioche Buns

  • 2 Slices Cheddar Cheese

  • Half a Small Onion

  • 1 Sweet Pickled Gherkin

  • Lettuce (Handfull)

  • Burger Sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil

Instructions:

This one was all cooked on the fire pit grill with a frypan for the onions only.

  1. Dice onion into small squares and place into frying pan with the cooking oil then place on heat.

  2. Season the patties with salt then place them both on the grill and turn until almost cooked, then place one cheese slice on each patty.

  3. once the onions and the patties are all cooked, place the meat patties into the frying pan and put aside on the grill to keep warm.

  4. Take the two brioche buns and discard one of the tops so you have two bases and one lid, place face down on grill to toast.

  5. once toasted take all the cooked ingredients back to your table in the frying pan.

Now its time to build your burger:

  1. Place one base onto your board.

  2. Take one beef patty with cheese and place it on to the base of your bun and add half the onion.

  3. Slice up the pickle and add half to the burger then add a generous serve of the burger sauce.

  4. Place the second bottom section of the brioche bun upside down onto the sauce.

  5. Repeat steps 1 & 2.

  6. Chop up the lettuce and place on top of the second layer then place lid on the burger.

Your burger is now complete and will take two hands to eat or it will get very messy, the way a Bush Mac should be enjoyed.
