The Chopper

Ingredients:

  • 4” Beef Patty

  • 4” Tip Top Bun

  • 2 Slices of American Red Cheddar

  • 1 Sweet Pickled Gherkin

  • Half a Small Onion

  • 2 Slices of Tomato

  • Lettuce (Handfull)

  • 2 Tablespoons Kewpie Mayonnaise

  • Tomato Sauce

  • One serving of Oven Chips

  • 400ml Vegetable Oil

  • 2 Tablespoons Butter

Instructions:

  1. Place chips into a saucepan and cover with the vegetable oil saving a couple of tablespoons for the meat and onions.

  2. Place the saucepan on the heat and let the chips cook from cold until golden brown (approx 20 minutes).

  3. Slice onion up into rings.

  4. Place frying pan on heat and drizzle a couple of tablespoons of oil into the pan.

  5. Season Beef patty & onions with salt and place it into the pan along with the onions.

  6. Toss the onions and turn the patty until almost cooked then drop half a tablespoon of butter onto the onions and mix in as it melts, place to two slices of cheese on top of the patty.

  7. The chips should now be cooked so remove from the saucepan and place them onto a paper towel to rest.

  8. Place the onions on top of the patty and remove from the frying pan and place on the paper towel to rest.

Now You Are Ready To Build Your Burger:

  1. Slice bun and spread the remaining butter on both lid and base, then place in frying pan to toast. Once toasted remove from frying pan.

  2. Place the meat, cheese & onions on the base of the bun.

  3. Slice up the pickled gherkin and place on top of onion and cover in a healthy serve of tomato sauce.

  4. Spread Kewpie mayo on the lid of the bun, chop up the lettuce and place on lid along with the two slices of tomato.

  5. Now the important part, place a hand full of chips on top of the meat and add more tomato sauce.

  6. Place lid on the burger and put the remaining chips on your plate.

Now while this burger may resemble a popular burger from a popular hamburger chain I can assure you it is very different and tastes amazing.
